Water Xylophone (Episode #211)

Materials: Glass jars A wooden spoon

1. Line up the jars in a row.
2. Leaving the first jar empty, fill each subsequent jar with an increasing amount of water. For
example, if you use five jars, the progression would be: empty, 1/4 full, 1/2 full, 3/4 full, full.
3. Play the jars with the spoon. Notice that the more filled the jar, the lower the note.
