Montréal is in Québec province, Canada. Québec is bilingual (people speak two languages there). So all signs need to be in English and French. One sign you see everywhere is the stop sign. In Montréal all stop signs say "stop" and "arrêt" (which means "stop" in French).

In Montréal I met Jaclyn. She plays ice hockey! She is the only girl on her team. Her teammates told me she's the best player on the team!

To play hockey safely, Jaclyn puts on a lot of gear! She wears shin pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads, a neck guard, a helmet, and hockey socks. With all that on, I'm surprised she can move at all!

I also visited Ethel Bruneau. She teaches tap dance. Tap dancers wear tap shoes. There are little metal pieces (called taps) on the bottoms of the tap shoes. When people tap dance, the taps make a tapping noise!

I saw Ms. Bruneau's students Justin and Shaheid tap dance. They were great! Justin says that the taps on the shoes' heels are like bass drums. They have a lower sound. The taps on the toes have a high sound. So tap dancing is like drumming!

Here's something else I bet you didn't know: Shaheid has asthma, just like me! But that doesn't stop him from being a great tap dancer.
