Alien CreationsMake a 3-D alien... or a 2-D one. Materials
DirectionsHelp your child build an alien creature out of empty boxes, cardboard tubes, egg cartons, oatmeal containers, bubble wrap, pipe-cleaners, aluminum foil, milk bottle caps, and whatever other recyclables are available around the house. Encourage your child to name the alien and describe life on the planet it comes from. Your alien might feel pretty lonely so far from home. Maybe you'll want to build a small alien pet, or a second alien to keep it company. Your child might also enjoy playing the game Alien: Assembly Required on the Arthur Web site. Talk About ItPlay a round of the car alphabet game Bo and Buster play: "I'm going on a trip and I'm taking an Alien," which begins with A. "I'm going on a trip and I'm taking an Alien and a Bat," which begins with B. Can you make your way from A to Z? Related Books
