Directions

Skateboarding has its own special language. Buster learns what it means to do a "caveman" or a "gnarly." Pretend you're skateboarding on the floor of your room (some call this "rugboarding"), and make up some really crazy moves. What would a Happy Chicken look like? Or Monkey Madness? Once you have created and named several moves, challenge each other to do a series of moves: "Do Monkey Madness, Over the Waterfall, and a Caveman."

Talk About It

Tell your child about something you learned to do that was really hard. How did you learn to do it? Did someone help you learn? Ask your child to tell you about a similar experience: "What have you learned that was really hard for you? Who helped you?"
