BRITTANY: Come on in, Buster. This is my sister, Nichole.
BUSTER: Hi!
NICHOLE: Hello.
BRITTANY: My brother, Reginald.
REGINALD: How do you do?
BRITTANY: My sister, Jennifer.
JENNIFER: Hi, Buster.
BRITTANY: And my brother, Peter.
PETER: Hi!
BUSTER: It's good that everybody's here together. But is it kind of strange to be in Atlanta and not New Orleans?
BRITTANY: Yes, it is. I really miss home.
BUSTER: What happened to your house?
BRITTANY: This is how our backyard used to look. We had a nice pool in the backyard. And these are pictures of our backyard now.
BUSTER: Did the water get inside the house, too?
BRITTANY: This was, like, our den area here. And we had just finished buying all our furniture for our house. We had new sofas, new tables. And these are the "after" pictures. This is the dining room where we ate dinner at.
BUSTER: Oh, no!
BRITTANY: And this is our living area.
BUSTER: The water did all that?
BO: That's terrible!
BRITTANY: I was really shocked. I couldn't believe it. It was just like… it really took me by surprise that water can do so much damage.
BUSTER: Were you home when it all happened?
BRITTANY: Oh, no. We left before the storm came in. So that was good.
BUSTER: Yeah! Where did you go?
BRITTANY: We went to Galveston, Texas. And we stayed in a hotel there and we watched the news every day to hear what was going on.
BUSTER: I watched it all on TV, too. It must have been really scary.
BRITTANY: I was thinking about what would happen to my house. What about my friends? What about my church, my church family? My grandparents, my aunts, my cousins? All that was running through my mind during this time.
