ERIN: This is some pictures of my dad. This one was taken in Colorado. This one was in St. Louis. And then there's this one where we were in Germany, where I was born.
BUSTER: Wait, did you say Germany?
ERIN: Yep, I was born in Germany.
BUSTER: What were you doing there?
ERIN: My dad's in the army, and so we move a lot.
BUSTER: Do you like to move?
ERIN: I like going to new places, but I don't like moving, because then I've got to leave my school, then I've got to leave my friends, and it's like, "oh." And every time we leave, my list of people to keep in touch with just keeps growing, so it's like I've got all these people I've got to write letters, e-mail, all that, and I have no time.
BUSTER: Oh, yeah. I didn't think of that.
ERIN'S MOTHER: Okay. Just a minute. Erin, Papa's on the phone.
ERIN: Okay. Hi.
BUSTER: Is that your dad?
ERIN: Yeah.
BUSTER: Wow, he's calling all the way from Iraq!
ERIN: I miss you, too.
BUSTER: Oh, tell him about the case!
ERIN: Today, I'm hopefully going to help Buster solve a little bit of a mystery. Well, Buster lost his… Carlos' Coin of Excellence. He wanted to borrow it a little, and he lost it, and so I'm going to help him find it, hopefully. I love you, too. Did you want to talk to Mom? Okay.
ERIN'S MOTHER: Okay, babe. Okay. Take care and be safe. I love you, too. Bye. Buster, that was Steve, Erin's dad.
ERIN: He said that there was a sandstorm all day.
ERIN'S MOTHER: Did he?
ERIN: And that it was really, really, really windy.
BUSTER: I bet you wish you could talk to him in person instead.
ERIN'S MOTHER: Yeah. We're happy to talk to him, but then we're sad, too.
