BUSTER: Uh, isn't someone missing? Where's the giant vegetable grower?
MAN: My son, Scotty? He's right up there.
SCOTTY: Hey, Buster!
BUSTER: You're not a giant.
SCOTTY: I'm not a giant, but I grow giant pumpkins.
BUSTER: "Giant pumpkins"?
SCOTTY: Come on, you'll see.
BO: Have fun, Buster.
BUSTER: How big are these giant pumpkins?
SCOTTY: Big.
BUSTER: Hi, puppy. Bigger than a watermelon?
SCOTTY: Bigger.
BUSTER: Bigger than a beach ball?
SCOTTY: Bigger.
BUSTER: Bigger than a dog?
SCOTTY: Bigger.
BUSTER: Bigger than a refrigerator?
SCOTTY: Buster, you're just going to have to see for yourself.
This big.
BUSTER: Are you sure this pumpkin isn't from outer space?
SCOTTY: I grew this pumpkin myself.
BUSTER: Sorry, I didn't mean you were from outer space.
SCOTTY: It's okay, don't worry about it.
BUSTER: Just to be sure — antennas? Nope. Green pointy tail? Negative. So, an ordinary Earth kid can grow something this big? How?
SCOTTY: We plant a seed, and we start it in our bathroom. We have lots of heaters — it's about 90 degrees — and we plant it in a one-gallon milk jug. So it starts out small. And we keep it in there for about two weeks, until they're probably about five inches high. And we plant it out here, and we leave it like that for about a month.
BUSTER: How fast does it grow?
SCOTTY: These pumpkins can grow, as an average, ten to 15 pounds per day.
BUSTER: 15 pounds a day?! That's incredible! Even Binky couldn't do that.
