Located in Phoenix, The Arizona Science Center is part of Heritage & Science Park, which includes historic buildings, museums, shops, and restaurants.
No boredom allowed! This science museum has over 300 hands-on exhibits, a giant screen theater, and a planetarium-all designed to keep its visitors busy with science. The museum's All About You gallery is devoted to science of the mind and the body. The Fab Lab invites kids to explore the basic forces of gravity, friction, and magnetism. And the Many Hands Make a Home exhibit, featured by DragonflyTV, gives an in-depth look at the process of creating a house, start to finish.
The Arizona Science Center offers a variety of classes, free events, and camps for kids. Camp sessions are scheduled throughout the year. For example, check out the museum's new biotech camp for 12-14 year olds. It's held off site, side-by-side with doctors and scientists who guide kids through the high-tech world of biotechnology.
Check out the Arizona Science Center's Web site at www.azscience.org. Got a juicy science question? Their special Get Answers feature lets kids ask science-related questions to the museum's team of experts and other professionals in the scientific field.
