The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is located in the city's Cultural District, within walking distance to other museums and attractions.
Check out the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for a taste of science from the state of Texas! The Museum conducts digs for dinosaur fossils and has uncovered some exciting specimens - including five new species of dinosaurs. Many of these fossils are on display in the Lone Star Dinosaurs exhibit. While you're at it, check out the DinoDig exhibit, where you can play paleontologist, digging for buried dinosaur bones. Other hands-on exhibits include Risk!, a playful look at risk-taking and our perceptions about risk, and ExploraZone, a gallery for exploring sound, waves, gravity, light and related phenomena. Other museum favorites include the popular Hands On Science, the IMAX Dome theater, and the planetarium.
FWMSH's historic Museum School offers some great classes for the scientifically curious. Sign up for weekly sessions to investigate everything from catapults to slime - and a whole lot in between!
