Aimee Hurt

As a biologist and dog handler, Aimee combines her talents to train her dog Wicket to find black bear, grizzly bear, wolf, and mountain lion scat (i.e., poop) in the area surrounding Yellowstone Park. This research helps scientists analyze if carnivores are living in the area. When Aimee was a high school student, she remembers telling her tenth grade biology teacher she'd never need the stuff they were studying. "I was wrong and I did need biology!" she says with a grin today.
