Do It
boy with a stick and a newspaper grab
  • safety goggles
  • a glove
  • a thin wooden stick or yard stick
  • a sheet of newspaper
how?
  1. Set the stick on the table, letting 4 inches hang over the edge.
  2. Lay a sheet of newspaper over the stick.
  3. Put on the glove and goggles and give the stick a whack! The stick should break!
  4. Now try it with a piece of folded newspaper. Be careful!
