• a piece of construction paper
• a scissors
• liquid soap
• a large, flat pan of water

1. Ask an adult for permission to use scissors. Cut a fish shape out of the construction paper.
2. Cut a narrow channel, from the fish's tail to the center of the fish.
3. Float your fish on the surface of some water.
4. Place a drop of liquid soap in the center of the fish. Watch your fish swim away!
