Ruff was excited because he thought this episode was all about kites, until he got a phone call from his boss Henry who wanted the show to be about cats. Cats!!!??? Ruff had no choice but to give airtime to cats as he challenged Taylor and Anna to train a cat to fetch. Meanwhile Noah and Brian, the "kite brothers," designed, built, and flew a kite that could lift a dog biscuit in the air and land it on the front porch of Charlene, the poodle next door.
Noah and Brian received 65 points: 50 points for outstanding kite construction and 15 points for the kite's performance (even though their kite failed to stay in flight for five minutes and missed its target). Hard as it is to tame a kite, Taylor and Anna would swear that training a cat is even tougher. They were able to coax the cat to pick up items, but the precious feline wouldn't actually bring anything back to its trainers. Still, Anna and Julia were determined to be successful. They created a fantastic promotion for FETCH! using their untrainable cats. Each of the girls earned 75 points.
Taylor turned out to be the lucky contestant who was awarded 5 bonus points for coughing up, no, creating a hairball that was featured in their promotional commercial. With that 5-point edge, Taylor became the daily winner and was the first FETCHer to share her prize with another contestant. She let Anna (who also helped with the making of the hairball) accept the prize - tuna cans to be used for future cat trainings.
