Grandma Ruffman wanted Ruff to sell a few hundred thousand copies of her cookbook on his show, but she thought her grandson needed to be much funnier to garner the ratings he'd need to move product. So Ruff sent Taylor, Noah, and Brian out to cook Grandma's recipes...on a farm, and Grandma sent Khalil out to learn how to tell jokes from a professional comedian.
Taylor, Noah, and Brian were expecting to raid a pantry or a grocery store for their ingredients, but that's not exactly what Ruff had in mind. The cooking team quickly dressed down for a trip to the farm where they gathered fresh ingredients for their Grandma Ruffman recipes. They milked cows, harvested carrots, and collected eggs. With those basic ingredients the young chefs whipped up butter, omelets, and carrot cake. They scored 80 points for their many tasks, excellent cooking, kindness to animals, kindness to cats, and good cake.
Far from the country, Khalil rehearsed and performed his stand-up act at a popular comedy club in the heart of Boston. Khalil's act was inspired by a trip to the grocery store. After gathering material, he wrote some jokes, worked with a professional comedian on the delivery of his jokes, got a booking at a comedy club, and rocked the house with his awesome act. For all this, Khalil earned a staggering 90 points, putting him in the lead.
As for the bonus, Ruff awarded Taylor an extra 5 points for her diligence in shoveling manure. Even with that point increase, Taylor still couldn't overtake Khalil's high score. So Khalil, the master comedian, was the daily winner. He was awarded a fantastic prize - a limited edition of Grandma Ruffman's Joke Book.
