Ruff just got an interview in Canine Weekly! In order to prepare for his interview and charm the press, he prepared a beauty cream. Unfortunately, Ruff tried out the cream and it turned him into a turkey vulture!
Ruff didn't have much time before the magazine hit the newsstands, so he sent all six FETCHers out to learn about turkey vultures and learn how to improve the turkey vulture's image. They learned about the vulture's defense mechanisms and adaptations such as projectile vomiting. They made a list of all the gross things about turkey vultures and then tried to think of things that might be good for the turkey vulture's reputation.
To complete their challenge, the FETCHers went to an ad agency to develop an ad campaign to improve the turkey vulture's image. They split up into two teams and together with copy editors and art directors, the kids brainstormed a concept and layout for their ads. Then, the teams had to present their ad concepts to a focus group of kids. The boys used a superhero theme to show how turkey vultures keep the world safe. The girls talked about how an ugly bird can make the world more beautiful. The kids voted that the boys' ad was best and they won the challenge!
Back at Studio G, the PR Posse was ready for the Triumph Tally:
Brian, Isaac, and Sterling scored:
Bethany, Talia, and Liza scored:
BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"
Isaac won 10 big bonus points because when it came time to pick the best photo, he had a good eye and knew what he wanted. And, he picked the one Ruff would have picked. With a total of 95 points, Isaac won 10 movie passes! No turkey vultures allowed.
