                  in this site provides kids  with everything they need to know
                  to become a History Detective and  investigate a question or
                  topic from start to finish. The site is  set up for a kid to
                  use on his or her own, with a friend, or with  a parent or

Researching History With Your Child
There are many ways to encourage your child to research history. Trips to the library, to municipal buildings for government records, and even through family photo albums are engaging activities. If your child uses the Internet for research, review and approve the sites he visits for accuracy and safety.

  This game is a lesson in American architectural style. Detectives check our online houses for clues and determine what year the house was built.

  Kids unpack a time capsule buried in the 1960s or 1970s. Take a trip together down memory lane!

Detective Kit
Tools of the Trade shows kids some household tools that are useful to a History Detective. Kids can also assemble their own Detective Kit by printing bookmarks, business cards, labels, and more. The printable Super Sleuth Detective Notebook is designed for kids to print out and take with them on their next mission.

The Vault is an online archive of mysterious objects found by History Detectives like your kids and sent to this web site. No personal information (beyond first name, age, and state) will be displayed.
