Topics in Family:
"I have a younger brother and he is sooo annoying. Oh my God. I try to ignore him and you wouldn't believe the things he does to get my attention! Especially when he's with his friends. He gets hyper and yells and annoys me so much! I totally hate it! I always have to get my mom or dad involved! It's that bad. We both need to stop!"
--Courtney, 10

"My brother and I fight about what channel we're going to watch or we fight over candy. We solve the problem on our own."
--Alexandria, 11

"I have a big brother who is 17. He annoys me all the time but I annoy him back. We are close!"
--Laura, 13

"Me and my brother fight about anything and everything. He is the meanest person I have ever met. I hate him! It gets serious so we need an adult."
--Emily, 10

"I am the middle child of three! All girls!!!! Me and my older sister get along great but me and my younger sister fight non stop, always like cats and dogs. We also have to share a room so that doesn't make it any better!! My older sister is 17. She can drive and we go lots of places together. I don't know if I'm jealous of my little sister or what, but everything she does gets on my nerves!!! There are the occasions when we get along and play soccer together. I try to teach her, but we always start to argue!!
She's 6!"
--Sarah, 13

"I have an older brother that's 19 and my sister is 16. We get along almost all the time, unlike the other people I meet. Whenever we do fight, we fight about something little and it's over in a couple minutes. I usually walk away and go into my room or something and turn on some loud music to get the anger out of my system."
--Serah, 13

"My sister and I don't like each other…well she doesn't like me! She blames me for everything! Even stuff I didn't do. I can't tell her anything and she tries to make me her slave! I want to get along! I WANT A PEACE TREATY!"
--Megan, 13

"Me and my brother get in a fight about everything. For the computer, for the Playstation 2, everything. We solve the problem just by making each other laugh!"
--Connie, 10

"My sister always goes on the Internet (AOL Instant Messenger) and she always talks to her friends. She like NEVER goes off and it bugs me. Also, her and I always fight in front of my friend and she acts 'not herself' just to impress people. Well g2g. Bu bye."
--Kristy, 11

"I do not know what it is like to have a bro or a sis b/c I am a single child. I was born in Russia and I AM PROUD OF BEING A SINGLE CHILD b/c u get everything u want when u want it and get any toy and don't have to share. You don't have to fight on the computer, but what I like least is that I have no one to play with! :("
--Alex, 9

"Nope, no siblings. There is no fighting in my house cuz I am an only child."
--Delaney, 9

"I have a little bro and sis and you can imagine how hard that is for me. They each have their pros and cons. My brother screams and is really annoying (by the way he's 8), but he's a lot like me. My sister has to have everything done for her and she's 7! She is very sweet though and sucks up to people, so she basically gets almost everything she wants. The fights start over the silliest things, like who gets to sit in the front seat of the car and who has to clean up the room. My siblings and I usually solve these things…usually. So, people who already have younger siblings, you probably know what I'm talking about. For people who are preparing for it, it's a sweet and sour road up ahead."
--Anonymous, 11

"My little sister is soooo annoying sometimes. The main reason for our fights is when she just decides that she'd like to get me in trouble or exercise her lying and indignation skills. UGH, I hate it. She hates it when my parents use me as an example for what she should be doing, like 'Emily's doing her homework. No Molly, hold it like Emily's doing.' She also hates it when she tries to do something and she fails, and then I do it without any trouble at all. The best way to end these fights is for Mom to tell us to both be quiet (even though she never is) or for me to look Molly straight in the eye and make her crack up."
--Emily, 12

"My brother and I fight mostly about whether or not things are his or mine!!!"
--Laura, 11

"My sis picks on me and I always get blamed for it. She took my markers that I needed for a huge project and she wouldn't give them back."
--Audrey, 11

"Me and my stepbrother fight about almost everything and we don't solve it. We just do not talk for a week or more."
--Britnee, 10

"I am the only girl in my family (besides mom). My brothers get on my nerves so much! They always are saying the stupidest things. My little brother is so annoying! He won't leave me alone. My big brother is taking wrestling and it hurts when he practices on me."
--Taylor, 10

"OMG! My sister gets on my nerves so much that I can't stand her! She says I watch the stupidest things and listen to the stupidest music. Everyone says it's cuz she's 12 years older then me, but jeez! I can't stand her!! She always bugs me, saying that I watch the stupidest things. She gets me SO mad that I can't stand her! I want to call my mom to make her shut up, but then my sister rolls her eyes and makes me feel like such a sissy. Sigh*."
--Kirstin, 12

"My older sister is 13 and when I'm home alone with her she calls me horrible names & I don't know what to do!!!!! Please help me figure something out."
--David, 9

"My younger sister and I fight about EVERYTHING!! The littlest thing starts a fight. We usually solve the problem on our own by staying away from each other and when we start talking about it we realize how stupid it really was!"
--Jordan, 13

"My brother is always annoying. This is very strange but I've always not liked chocolate!!! I even hate the smell!!! My brother is always dangling it in my face. So you can see it is very annoying."
--Ginny Joy, 8

"My twin sister always gets her way because she almost died when she was born."
--Randi, 13

"My older sister and I fight all the time. My mom tells us to cool it or she just says stop. My sister is 18 and her name is Candi. We fight over the stupidest things. I don't get anyone to help, we just solve it sooner or later."
--Latosha, 11

"I have two brothers and one of them gets along with me, but my other brother is like Lord Darigan on Neopets and I am like King Skarl on Neopets. I try to get my brother to stop but he ignores my words and keeps on fighting. My parents are sometimes involved."
--Amy, 8

"My little brother Brandon keeps getting me into trouble. First he annoys me, then he gets me to yell at him so that I get into trouble. I tried to talk to my mom but she would just say I have an anger problem. What should I do?"
--Tiffany, 8

"My older brother and I fight about everything. Lately we have been getting on my mother's nerves a lot. It seems everything that he does makes me so mad and everything I do seems to make him very mad. How can we get along better? Signed, Help for my mother in Missouri."
--Kelsey, 10

"Me and my sisters fight mostly about staying out of each other's bedrooms and keeping our hands off of each other's things. P.S. I have two sisters that are younger than me ARRRRRRG!!!!"

--Amanda, 11

"My older brother and my younger sisters (ages 12, 9 and 5) are always giving me the big job with the dog. My bro's name is Kyle my sisters' names are Chelsea and Kayla."
--Katie, 10

--Jerri, 9

"We fight about everything either because she's wearing my clothes or I'm wearing her clothes. We are always fighting for everything!"
--Leslie, 12

"I have 6 sisters and 2 brothers and it seems like they are all against me. I cry sometimes for getting hit so bad. Other times I cry cause I'm different. I wish I was an only child. My parents never get involved cause I always get in trouble. If you see this please tell me what you think about my situation."
--Jasmine, 12

"We usually just call each other names for no reason and it goes on and on until my mom or dad yells at us."
--Nicki, 11

"What we fight about the most is when we get new houses. We fight about who gets what room and I always get the bad one and that's what me and my sister fight about."
--Stephanie, 10

"Me and my brother fight over dumb things like 'she stole my money.' We get our mom or dad involved."
--Kaylee, 10

"My brother and I fight all of the time. I always tell my friends that I hate him because I do. Here's why:

  1. I always get blamed for something HE did.
  2. He always tries to play with MY friends.
  3. I always make a point but he ends up crying and I'm in my room.
MY LIFE ISN'T FAIR!"
--Laura, 10

"My 11 year old sister and I fight a lot. Sometimes, I can't control myself and I'll hit her or she'll kick me. I wish we could get along more often. We sometimes fight about stupid things like if I wear her clothes (we both wear 14-16). She'll start yelling at me. When she's mad she will start saying how bad I am and how I always lie. I get angry and kick her or something and then she will go tell and I will end up in trouble. How do I deal with this?"
--Chelsea, 9
