Whenever James isn't around, you start putting him down to the other students. You tell one kid that James' family is so poor that all they ever have to eat is plankton stew. To another friend you say, "James has such bad taste in music, he still thinks the Barracuda Boys are cool."
Talking bad about James makes you feel a little better for a short time, but eventually it just makes you feel guilty and ashamed. You're still mad at James, but trying to get revenge is just making you feel worse.
