Your mother drives you in the hovertruck to the Jackson City Spaceport, which is the biggest one on your home planet of Lonestar 3. When you get there, she gives you a big smooch on the cheek, but you’re so excited about the trip that you totally forget to be embarrassed.

“See ya, mom,” you say, grabbing your gearpack and hopping out. “I’ll send you an e-mail when I get to my cabin.”

“Have a good weekend, pardner,” your ma shouts. She guns the engines, tips her hat, and zips back onto the skyway with a loud “Yee-Hah!”
