Tough Crush Canyon
Along riverbank You don’t have time to answer Susie right away, because the boys and girls are being divided up and sent to their separate cabins. Later, you find Susie down by the river bank, gathering water. It’s a beautiful night, and Susie looks pretty in the glow from Lonestar 3, hanging huge up in the sky.

“Well,” she asks, “are you going to tell me why everyone is saying I’m scared to fly in an Astrojet?”

You realize that it’s better to come clean than make up a lie.

“Susie,” you say, “I really wanted to sit by you on the jet, because I like you a lot. But I was afraid the guys would tease me if I admitted the truth, so I lied and told them you were scared to fly. I’m really sorry, and I don’t blame you if you hate me.”

“Actually, “ Susie says, “I figured it was something like that, and I was mad for a while. But I sort of understand why you lied in the first place,
and now I’m glad that you admitted the truth.”

“So, do you want to go to the Rodeo Dance with me tomorrow night?” you ask.

“Sounds like a plan, cowboy!” says Susie.
