Discussion questions for kids to bring up with adults I’ve been feeling that I want to start earning some money of my own. Can we talk about ideas for jobs? Did you do things to earn spending money when you were my age? Are there things I could do around the house that would earn me extra cash, beyond what you give me for an allowance? What about work for friends and neighbors? Would you be comfortable letting me earn money that way? What types of jobs do you think I’m ready for, and which ones am I not quite old enough to try? Are there things we own as a family that I can use to start my own business, like tools, the computer, and art supplies? How can we spread the word about my moneymaking idea? Can you tell neighbors, friends, and co-workers for me? Can you help me make a flyer or send an e-mail announcement?
