| My Teacher Hates Me: You vs. Your Teacher So you think your teacher hates you? You're not the only one. Most students, at one time or another, feel singled out for criticism or punishment by a teacher. Maybe you feel like your teacher's giving you lower grades than you deserve, or is more snippy to you than to the rest of the class. Or it might feel like your teacher just likes to pick on you. It does happen. Teachers and students sometimes have personality clashes, just like any two people who don't get along. Teachers aren't perfect, and can sometimes fall into a pattern of picking on certain kids who, for one reason or another, rub them the wrong way. Most of the time, though, things are more complicated than that. The relationship between a student and a teacher can be tricky, and there are lots of reasons why you and your teacher might not be getting along.
