The skier races downhill on grass.
The skier weaves downhill around and through obstacles to the finish line. The skier with the fastest time wins.

Ski boots – hold the skier’s feet on the skis
Helmet – protects the head in case of a fall
Poles – the skier uses poles at the start to push off faster down the hill, and to help keep his/her balance while weaving down the course
Goggles – worn to protect the skier’s eyes
Weed whacking – another term for grass skiing
Slalom – in both grass and snow skiing, the name of the race that involves weaving around poles
