Karting is racecar driving in small race karts.
The kart is a fast, souped-up go-kart or mini-race car.
The person who drives the kart is called the “driver.”
This is a team competition in which the teams compete in a 24-hour race against other teams racing on the track at the same time. A kart team will have four drivers, and each driver races a one-hour shift, doing six shifts in a race. The race track has many bends and weaves, so kart drivers must go fast, but must also stay on the track and avoid accidents (hitting other karts or driving off the track).
This is a team competition in which the team that completes the 24-hour race in the fasted time wins.
