Make a Me Book
Write a book all about you.
Materials
- Paper
- Markers
- Stapler
Directions
Help your child make a book about herself. Instead of just including information like hair color, family members, favorite food, et cetera think of some more wacky things about her. Write one thing on each sheet of paper and have her draw a picture of it. Then make a cover with a picture of her, and staple all the sheets together into a book. Here are some sample page topics to get you started:
- The silliest thing I've ever done was...
- My favorite pair of pajamas looks like...
- If I could be any animal, I'd be a...
- The best time of day is...
- When I grow up I might want to be a...
- The best thing about being a kid is...
- The worst thing about being a kid is...
- Something that made me feel proud was when...
- I'm very good at...
- I'm not so good at...
- And anything else you can think of!
Talk About It
After your child has written the book about herself, she may be interested to know the same things about you! Go through each page and have your child ask the questions of you. Then explain your answers and why you chose them. Also try asking these questions of other family members or friends. See if you can predict what their answers will be before they tell you. How well do you know your friends and family?
