Directions
It's party time! As much as is appropriate, involve your child in making plans, food, and decorations. If you are having a kids' party, you may want to involve all the children in decorating their own birthday crowns goodie bags, and cupcakes. Also, have your child help with all the written materials: "to do" list, shopping list, invitations, place cards.

Both the Arthur Web site and the Zoom Web site have great party resources. Take a look at the great Arthur Party Ideas for printable party hats and invitations, plus great party game ideas. Or visit ZOOM party on the Zoom Web site for party food recipes, suggestions for indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts ideas, printable party hats, invitation cards, and the words to the Ubbi Dubbi Birthday Song! You can also find additional resources at the PBS Parents Birthday Party area.

Talk About It
Plan a party with your child. Will it be a kid party or a family party? Will it be for a special occasion or just for fun? Will it have a special theme? What food will you serve? What games will you play? Check out the party resources listed in Directions as you work with your child to make the plans a reality.
