Wendy Wickender was picking-up pieces of brown, dried grass
at recess. The other kids were playing on the monkey bars. When
the other kids were swinging, Wendy was scooping up mud.
Everybody wondered why Wendy never played at recess. She was
too busy being "weird".

One story from each participating PBS station has been randomly selected.
With over 45,000 entries, it is not possible to share all stories online.
