The Iditarod
By

It was a freezing cold day like it usually was in Achorage. I was training my 16 dogs for the
Iditarod race. Their names were Snap, Rita, Raina, Ice, Glitter, Aster, Misty, Tundra, Raven,
Spice, Nanna, Demon, Nina, Sasha, Scarlet and Pint. Snap loved to snap at snow and
snowflakes but never missed a step. Glitter's eyes sparkled just like glitter and Pint drank almost 4 pints of water 3 times a day. I was 18, finally old to enter the Iditrod race,
which I had always dreamed of.
