On Christmas Eve, Evan was so weak that his family prayed he would live until morning. Father and Mother dozed in chairs beside him while Evelyn slept at the foot of the bed. A blue moon lit the room and a light snow was softly falling. Evan awoke and through drowsy eyes he saw the chrysalis moving.
