Suddenly I looked up, there was 42nd cab stop buzzing with crowds and taxis. Quickly I slithered out of the mob. One car skidded to a halt several inches away from me. The door swung open. Scared, I started down at the filthy asphalt. Shiny black shoes stepped out and quickly approached me.
