Animal Rock Tic-Tac-Toe

You will need:
• ten smooth rocks, about 1½” in diameter
• acrylic paints
• paintbrush
• chalk

Directions:
1. Have a friend or family member help to paint five rocks red. Paint on black spots to make the rocks look like ladybugs.
2. Paint the other five rocks light green. Paint on dark green spots to make the rocks look like one kind of beetle.
3. Use chalk to draw a tic-tac-toe game board on the sidewalk.
4. Now play a game of tic-tac-toe using the ladybugs and green beetles.

Options:
• Make game pieces that look like other animals.
• Make a permanent game board by painting a tic-tac-toe grid on a piece of cardboard that you can also use indoors.
