Volunteer WorkHave you ever volunteered to do a special job? Is there volunteer work you and your child can do together? Perhaps you know a home-bound person who could use a visit or some older people who could use “meals on wheels” delivered one day a week. Contact your local YMCA, hospital, nursing facility, library, church or soup kitchen. Ask about volunteer jobs that will fit into your family schedule. Teach your children that to share their time and talents with others is the greatest gift they can give. |
