Boxes for Katje is about a charitable effort that began with a girl and her family, who sent a care package to Holland during World War II, and grew throughout their communities. Host LeVar Burton introduces helping groups -- the Global Ambassadors, youngsters who build international goodwill and do community service, and the Backyard in a Box project – kids creating kits for kids who live in Hurricane Katrina devastated areas so they can enjoy their backyards. |
