Thoughts From Our Neighbors

Right now I am 6 years old. I have a little sister and I like to play on the computer. I like all your games because they are so much fun. Thank you for making those games.
 Sophia - Laurel, MD

 Renee - Renton, WA

Hi, Just a few words to let you know I love Mr. Rogers and all he did for my children and myself included. His gentle show relieved alot of stress and educated my kids on how to deal with school and fun things like the field trips to a crayon or baby carriage factory. God bless him.
 millard - Clarksburg, WV

I grew up watching Mr. Rogers and riding the Land Of Make-Believe trolley at Idlewild. Mr. Rogers was an always will be a local icon for everybody in Western Pennsylvania and the rest of the US. As a kid, watching Mr. Rogers always made me remember that I was special. He will be forever deeply missed.
 Noah - Latrobe, PA

Its a Sad day in the neighborhood, as PBS has decided to remove the show throughout our nation. No more Mr Rogers neighborhood every day. They have replaced it with "better and more current programing." What nonsense. Fred Rogers is a timeless and rewarding show, and should continue on for years to come. My local PBS is gracing us with one show a week, on Sunday mornings. Please send a note to PBS, both locally and nationally and express your thoughts on this decision.
 Dave - Avon Lake, Oh

As a child, I had a heart condition that required lengthy, frightening hospital stays and several painful operations to repair. Mr. Rodgers' was my favorite person in the whole world, and I was delighted that he made time to visit me (and the other children) in the hospital in Pittsburg, PA. He made the situation much more pleasant for me. I was 6 years old, and I have always been grateful that he kept my spirits high during that time. He is missed.
 Amanda - Augusta, GA

I dont know how to express my sorrow for such a dear man. He was as much family as a friend growing up. He showed me how to be kind and gentle to people while at the same time sending a message of seriousness and truth. Due to his many visits to different places I learned alot about different fields. I did find interest in one field, Fire/EMS, I became a Firefighter/EMT and I thank Mr. Rogers for showing me the way. One of my most cherished memories, as a young child, my mother and I would sit in front of the tv together and watch Mr Rogers. I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Rogers death. I wish him and his family only the best. May the good lord look over him and keep him as he did for so many in the past.
 Michael - Randallstown, MD

We have fun learning and laughing with you. It has been the highlight of my day with my children. We will miss seeing our pal daily. We hope that the PBS will reconsider and find a spot to air the program daily again.
 Eva - Apex, NC

I grew up watching Mr. Rogers and now this past week I was able to introduce my little girl, Grace, to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. She watched, captivated, and it thrilled my heart to see her love this gentle man that I have always loved too.
 Jennifer - Grapevine, TX

Mr. Rogers was a gift to me from my parents, one I cherish very much. He made such an impact on me that I shared him with my kids, and with the many children I have taught and still teach. I also used to practice singing the many songs Mr. Rogers shared, they always make me feel good inside, and I sing them all the time for others. I shall always cherish Mr. Rogers as the wonderful gift he was for me and to so many others.
