Thoughts From Our Neighbors

I can still remember watching this show and loving every minute of it.Fred Rogers will always have a special place in my heart
 Maggie - Lafayette, LA

To Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: In this day and age of frenetic, sarcastic, and unnatural children's television programming, you remain a ray of light for our young ones. Sincerity, honesty, real music, curiosity, creativity, and honor for others and our world will never pass out of style. On behalf of myself and my 3.5 year old son, thank you. You are all that he watches. I do not have to worry for one second about him repeating something that he hears on the program - rather, I can be proud of it.
 Jennifer - Minneapolis, MN

I grew up with Mister Rogers, and he was always my favorite out of all the other shows I watched when I was little. I am now 14 years old, and be assured: Mister Rogers will be missed by all who know him.
Nicole - Los Altos Hills, CA

There won't be another Fred Rogers Never
 Mark - Topeka, KS

I never understood Mr. Rogers until my three year old decided she liked the show. He's always a calm, caring friend before nap time for her and I finally understand why little kids are drawn to him. There aren't many gentle soals, especially on the high energy shows of today. Mr. Rogers definately qualified as one.
 Stephanie - Hastings, MN

I loved to watch Mister Roger. When i was liitle I would kick my dad away from the tv just to watch it. Love,a dear friend
 Liberty - Tampa, FL

Mr. Rogers helps remind us of the things that are truly important in life: friendship, discovery, and lifelong learning. Children of all ages can learn from his universal messages.
 Ethan - San Francisco, CA

What can I say about Mr. Rogers, except that I loved him? His show filled many a lonely day for this former "latchkey" kid. While my mother was finishing her Master's Degree at the University of Arizona, I was a first-grader that was watched by our elderly neighbors, and Mr. Rogers was my companion. He taught me so much, and memories of his show bring back very peaceful memories of happier and simpler days of childhood. What a wonderful friend to have.

MISTER ROGERS HOW DID YOU GET ON TV.
 Riya - Houston, tx

I am in the seventh grade and our big project this quarter was a biography project. At first I didn't know who to chose, so my teacher suggested looking at all the people who had been given the Presidential Medal of Freedom. I did and I saw Fred Rogers on the list. After reading what the site had to say my mind was made up. Over the past two weeks I have been reading this site and looking at all the things it had to say in order to write my essay. The other day I came to the "Remembering Fred Rogers" page and cried. I had no idea he had made such an impact on the world. I am so pleased for choosing this man to do my biography on, he has made such an impact on the world it is almost unbelieveable. All the other kids in my class did people like Anne Frank or Hellen Keller, I strongly feel like I chose the best person to do and am grateful for all the things Mr. Rogers has done for the world. I got an "A" on my progect and couldn't be happier, thanks Mr. Rogers!
