What was the biggest piece of gold?
We exhibited a gold ingot, a big bar of solid gold that weighed 450 troy
ounces, or just about 30 pounds. We got that from a miner who was still mining
up in the Sierra Mountains. He cast it from the gold he had found and lent it
to us. We tried to get a bar from the federal mint at Fort Knox, but they
wouldn't lend us one.
