What made you decide to write a book about Southern tourist attractions?
The main reason was that I wanted to READ a book about them. I had all
these souvenirs and brochures and postcards that my father and I had saved over
the years, and I couldn't find a book that would help explain them to me. When
it looked like no one else was going to write one, I decided I'd have to do it
myself.
