12 Ghost Town flyer and picture. Can you name a few cool roadside attractions that kids can visit today?

Rock City is still quite popular. So is Silver Springs, Florida, where you can ride in glass-bottomed boats and watch the fish swimming below. At Weekiwachee Springs in Florida you can see an underwater show with the live "mermaids." There are even two of the Western town attractions still operating, both in North Carolina: the Tweetsie Railroad and Ghost Town in the Sky. And yes, Santa Claus is STILL hanging out in Cherokee, too!

There are still about 150 Stuckey's locations scattered around. And Colonel Sanders' original restaurant has been restored and turned into a museum. If you visit Cave City, Kentucky, you can even stay in one of the original Wigwam Village motels. For more information about cool places to go and stay, you can write to any state tourism office, or look them up on the Web. Don't just consider the big places to go. Roadside tourist spots can be just as much fun--and they offer experiences you just can't find anyplace else!
