2 Postcard: Scenic Attractions Florida How was vacation when you were a kid different from vacations today?

When I was a kid in the 1960's, people did not usually go to just one mega-resort like Disney World or Universal Studios. Instead, we had fun just driving from place to place and maybe seeing eight or ten tourist attractions before the trip was over.

In those days, we did not usually travel big interstate highways, where you never see anything except at the exits. Back then, main highways went through one little town after another. If the highway was a major tourist route to Florida or some other vacation spot, there would be small attractions all along the way.
