4 Pictures of places to stay. What kinds of places could tourists stay at?

There weren't as many chain motels like Holiday Inn or Best Western. Most motels were small--maybe 25 rooms. They were usually owned by one individual instead of a big corporation. The owners tried to tie motel names and signs to their location: Beach motels had names like Sun-N-Sand and Tropical Palms. In the mountains, there were lots of names like Sleepy Bear and Hillbilly Inn. One small chain of motels was called the Wigwam Villages. The rooms were shaped like giant Indian tepees.
