An interview with Max Morath

Probably a phonograph. But in 1900, popular recordings as we think of them today didn't exist. A kid could hear some opera singers, maybe some marching bands or folk singers. If we listen to those old recordings now, the sound quality seems horrible. But to a kid in 1900, it would have been amazing.
