Why, yes Detective!

Detective Hablancy:
Left or right?

Susan McKay:
Uh, right......but how did you know I was missing a shoe?

Detective Hablancy:
Because something stinks around here and all of the people coming this way have the same problem!

(Doris Lafy and Professor Sam Rufus shuffle in with only one shoe on each. Professor Sam Rufus is caught up in reading her book.)

Susan McKay:
Oh Dear, Mrs.Lafy! Don't slip and fall!

Doris Lafy:
Can someone please tell me whose responsible for this nasty prank?

(Detective Hablancy inspects the scene with his magnifying glass. Professor Sam Rufus reads her book, oblivious of the situation.)

Susan McKay:
Not Professor Rufus too!

Professor Sam Rufus:
Huh?...Me?...Did someone mention my name?

Susan McKay:
Yes, Professor Rufus. You are missing a shoe.

Left or right? Oh, dear, I suppose I am missing a shoe. Now where could it have gone?

Detective Hablancy:
Don't worry Professor! I'll get to the bottom of this!

Misty Meanor:
(Holding bags that are bulging and her shirt is bulging too.)

Yeah I did it! So what? You don't know where I am hiding them! My secret is safe!

Detective Hablancy:
Or is it?

(Detective Hablacny, Doris Lafy, Professor Sam Rufus, and Susan McKay dump the contents of the bags on the floor. Inside are all different kinds of shoes. Susan McKay pulls on Misty Meanor's shirt and out come more shoes! Professor Sam Rufus goes back to reading.)

Susan McKay:
My other sneaker! Yeah!

Doris Lafy:
My other bunny slipper! Well, it's about time.

Professor Sam Rufus:
Huh, did someone mention shoes?

Narrator:
So, another mystery is solved in this small town. Hey, where is my sock?

All:
Left or right?

(Misty Meanor begins to tiptoe off set.)

Misty Meanor:
(Misty Meanor opens up coat to reveal socks sewed to inside lining of the coat. )
