Move it! Make an invention that moves an object without carrying it.
Materials
  • piece of plywood
  • marbles
  • rope
  • balloons
  • tape
  • straws
  • newspaper

Instructions

1. Try to move an object, without carrying it, across a room with a bare floor.

2. All you can use are the above materials. That's it.

3. Now pick your object and get moving!

What object did you try to move? The ZOOMers tried to move Ray! Which materials did you use? All of them? Did it work? Now it's time to experiment. Try to come up with another way to move a heavy object, but this time do it across a carpet and send your solution, and the challenges you faced, to ZOOM.

We spread out a lot of marbles on the floor & put the plywood on it. Then put the soda pop on the ply wood & pushed it along.
