Ingredients

  • 1 whole-wheat English muffin
  • 1 tsp. trans fat-free margarine
  • 2 slices low-fat cheddar cheese

Supplies

  • Butter knife
  • Star cookie cutter or knife and cutting board

Directions

  1. Cut muffin in half and toast both sides.
  2. Spread ½ tsp. margarine on each half of English muffin.
  3. Cut 2 slices of cheese into star shapes.
  4. Arrange English muffin “moon” and cheese “star” on plate and serve.



Note: Kids can do almost everything unless you need to cut cheese with a knife rather than a cookie cutter, in which case parents should take the lead.
