There was a storm They called Katrina It hit the Gulf Coast hard, New Orleans And all the towns around. And that ol’ Hurricane Katrina She rumbled And she roared. The people say They can’t forget the sound. The wind blew hard, so hard, It blew the houses down. The waves were high, so high, They swallowed up the ground. The storm has come and gone, Now nothing’s quite the same. We’re starting over After the hurricane. Let’s rebuild together, Walk together, Take some time To talk together. Sing together, Dance together, Take a brand new Chance together. Build together, Walk together, Take some time To talk together. Moving on, After the hurricane. I want to stand with you And offer what I can. You can count on me To lend a helping hand. I know you’ve lost so much, But one thing will remain: You’ve got a friend After the hurricane. Let’s rebuild together, Walk together, Take some time To talk together. Sing together, Dance together, Take a brand new Chance together. Build together, Walk together, Take some time To talk together. Moving on, After the hurricane.
