We're Jenny, Danny and Simi and you could call us River Rats! We think of rapids as nature's roller coasters. They're fast, fun and furious. But we always wondered: Why are there different rocks in different rapids?

How would you investigate this question?
Imagine yourself on a river with several classes of rapids. What features of the river would you need to observe for this investigation? How deep the water is at each rapid, or maybe how wide the river is? Maybe you want to measure how fast the water flows. You also should make a plan to observe or measure something about the rocks in each of the rapids.
