Show 6: How Not to Impress a Poodle's Mother

Ruff found out that the way to a poodle's heart is through their mother. Charlene's mom's name is Nell so Ruff wanted to get her something really special with an N on it. He sent Harsha, DJ, and Sam to the beach where their challenge was to construct the letter N out of sand. And — it had to be at least as tall as DJ. They got some help from Grady, a sand sculpting professional. After developing a recipe for sand glop, they successfully built their N! It fell down on top of Sam when they tried to decorate it but they still did it!

To get ready to impress Charlene's mom, Ruff realized he needed to look a little better. Since he wasn't satisfied with the poodle look Blossom gave him, he introduced Jay to Maryanne, a cosmetology teacher. Jay learned how to cut a mannequin's hair and do its makeup. Then he got to try it out on some actual human beings — including his own mom! Careful Jay, she knows where you live. All in all he did a great job.

Back at the studio Noël and Sammy earned 45 points in the halftime quiz show.

After the challenges, everyone met up back at the studio for the Triumph Tally:

Harsha, DJ, and Sam scored:

• 35 points: For finding the right sand sculpting glop recipe
• 50 points: For building an N taller than DJ
• -10 points: Because the N fell down

Giving them a total of 75 points!

Jay scored:

• 80 points: For risking everything to cut his own mom's hair

BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"

Jay earned 5 bonus points for letting his mom decide what his next haircut will look like. He was the daily winner with 85 points and that earned him a tub of Ruffman's Beachcomber Hair Gel. Awesome! Though he may not be needing any hair products once his mom has her way with his hair.
