What a day! Ruff found a tortilla chip that shaped exactly like him! Blossom didn't quite comprehend the importance of this discovery but Ruff was intent on finding a way to preserve and safeguard his chip. And he wasn't the only one snacking that day. Grandma Ruffman wanted to mail a cake to her grandson Scruff but was afraid the cake would get squashed. So they had Sam, Noël, and Harsha meet with Masoud, an engineer. Using popsicle sticks and sturdy triangle shapes, they designed and built a super duper cake protector that was both strong and light. Unfortunately it wasn't quite strong enough to stand up to a monster truck and grandma's cake ended up squashed.
Blossom, in typical cat fashion, wanted to trick Ruff into eating his special chip. When he didn't fall for the guacamole, she finagled a trip to New York for Sammy to visit Spanish Harlem and make the world's best salsa. She bought all the ingredients (and she did it in Spanish!), but then Ruff figured out Blossom's evil plan and suddenly changed Sammy's challenge to learning about salsa music instead of salsa dip. The last thing she had to do was perform at an outdoor salsa party. She was a star and she completed the challenge.
Meanwhile DJ and Jay rocked the halftime show, earning an awesome 50 points.
After all the cake and salsa, the FETCHers came back to the studio for the Triumph Tally:
Sam, Noël, and Harsha scored:
Giving them a total of 70 points!
Sammy scored:
Giving her a total of 75 points!
BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"
Sammy earned 5 big bonus points for speaking Spanish when she was buying her veggies. Muy bien! That made her the daily winner with 80 points which got her a big jar of cake-flavored salsa! And also a remote control monster truck so she can do some cake-smashing of her own.
