Not so good news the "Action-to-the-Maxion" figure that Ruff made in Season 2 just got voted "Worst Toy of the Century" according to a poll in Toy Magazine. A reporter tricked him into saying things he didn't mean by calling too early in the morning. And what's more, Ruff was eating ice cream for breakfast and got brain freeze during the interview. How could that happen?
Needless to say he needed the FETCHers to figure out what to do. To show the world what real reporting looks like and simultaneously get to the bottom of the brain freeze issue, Sammy and Harsha left to do a radio news story. They visited a neurologist and an ice cream shop, then with the information and interviews they gathered, they wrote and recorded their story which aired on the radio!
Since his first action figure didn't do too well, Ruff had DJ and Noël make him a better toy. They brainstormed what kind of toy to make, and then it was off to the lab to create some potential toy materials. They tested the properties of their polymers and put the best one into the Ruff mold to finish up the toy.
While they were playing around, Sam and Jay were hard at work earning their 35 points in the halftime quiz show.
At the end of the day they all made it back to Studio G where Ruff was ready to report the Triumph Tally:
Harsha and Sammy scored:
Noël and DJ scored:
Giving them a total of 75 points!
BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"
DJ scored an extra 10 bonus points for using his backside to seal up the mold. Now that's innovation. His 85 points made DJ the daily winner, earning him his prize: Edible Frozen Zlime. Just don't eat it too fast!
