Show 6: Finding Eight-Legged Tights Isn't Easy

The truth is out – Ruff admitted that he had a terrible fear of spiders and ballet, due to a long-ago incident. During a ballet production of Indianapolis Ruffman and the Temple of Tutus, Spot Spotnick switched the fake spiders for real ones and Ruff froze on stage. Mortifying!

To get over his fears, first Ruff sent Brian out to learn ballet. Brian put on ballet slippers and started learning the different foot positions. Once he had the basics down, he met some other boy ballet dancers and they performed together. They put on a stunning rendition of The Temple of Tutus and the audience loved it.

Meanwhile, it was bad news for Bethany – she was off, together with Sterling, to study spiders – her worst fear! They met with a scientist who studies spiders called an arachnologist who told them all about spiders and how they eat. Then they went to a field to see how many spiders they could catch in 5 minutes. Bethany bravely confronted her fears and they caught so many spiders, they earned their very own tarantulas!

Talia, Isaac, and Liza stayed back at Studio G and earned 35 points in the Halftime Quiz Show!

After all the dancing and spider-studying, everyone met back at Studio G for the Triumph Tally:

Bethany and Sterling scored:

  • 75 points: for learning about spiders

Bethany also scored:

  • 5 points: for facing her fears

Brian scored:

  • 80 points: for becoming a ballet dancer

BUT: "Is that all the points a dog can give?"

Brian got 5 extra points for being the new incarnation of Indianapolis Ruffman and for handling a solo performance with grace under pressure. With 85 points, Brian was the daily winner and his prize was an amazingly realistic remote control spider!
